Mr Richard Wood
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
MBBS, BDSc (QLD), FRACDS (OMS), AHPRA registered
When Mr Richard Wood decided to open his own practice in 2010, his aim was to establish a practice that continually strived for clinical excellence while providing its patients with quality care.
Richard has more than 25 years’ experience in the industry, holding degrees in both Medicine and Dentistry, as well as surgical qualifications including extensive study and practice of facial trauma, orthognathic surgery and routine oral surgery including dental implants. After receiving training in the major hospitals of Melbourne and Geelong, he earned his specialty qualification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (FRACDS(OMS)).
As part of his ongoing commitment to identifying, researching and implementing best practice in dental and facial surgery, Richard maintains personal and professional relationships with some of Australia’s leading Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
An enthusiastic and driven practitioner, Richard is focused on the whole patient experience and has fostered a work environment that unites the patient, their family and their dental condition with achievable treatment goals and the highest degree of care.

Practice Manager
Kylie’s commitment to providing an outstanding patient experience, coupled with her deep understanding of how to run a busy surgical practice, makes her an important addition to the Precision OMS team.
A leader who prides herself on the quality of her relationships, Kylie is responsible for the overall business operations at Precision OMS. Bringing a decade of experience to the role, Kylie supports our team with a caring approach that always has our patients’ best interests at heart.
Kylie’s commitment to providing an outstanding patient experience, coupled with her deep understanding of how to run a busy surgical practice, makes her an important addition to the Precision OMS team.

Support Team
Your first point of contact with the Precision OMS Geelong offices, our friendly support team prides itself on providing you with a welcoming, professional experience in all your dealings with our practice. Our support team includes the newly created role of Complex Care Coordinator, in recognition of those patients who have more complex needs.
The team carefully and thoroughly coordinates all aspects of patient administration, including working with third-party providers like Medicare or private health insurers, organising referrals and hospital admissions and managing finance and social services claims.

Our team is highly trained, efficient and knowledgeable and works closely with our patients to ensure they get the best treatment outcome.

Anaesthetics team
The anaesthetics team at Precision OMS has more than 50 years’ combined experience in anaesthetic and recovery nursing. Responsible for ensuring your experience with us is as comfortable and safe as possible, the team looks after you during your initial sedation, throughout the procedure and in completing your recovery.
Each team member is highly trained and certified in Oral and Maxillofacial best practice, including rare emergency scenarios, so you can feel confident that you are getting professional and caring treatment from highly qualified staff.

Responsible for ensuring your experience with us is as comfortable and safe as possible, the team looks after you during your initial sedation, throughout the procedure and in completing your recovery.
